Duafe Naturals - You Can Make It, We Can Help: Castile & Herb Hair & Body Wash Recipe, Natural Chic Style
On our series of learning how to make things yourself, we are featuring how to make an awesome body wash infused with herbs and gentle enough for kids (we recommend over 3). Since we are always conscious about health inside, let’s start focusing on health outside as well. Everything you put…
Would like to add that vitamin E and rosemary only extend the shelf life of a product. If you want to kill bacteria, try using Grapefruit Essential Oil instead. Otherwise, we recommend refrigerating this recipe or using within 3-4 days.

Dive into a NatuRealEssence experience..
I haven’t been into blogs until the last couple of years. Since I have joined the natural hair movement (well, I was always a member since birth!), I have had the pleasure of networking with this sister and following her natural hair journey. She posts real time updates on what she does to her natural hair and HOW to do it! From giveaways to guest bloggers, how to tips and all things natural hair, if you aren’t subscribed you are missing out!!
I was blessed to be featured as her first guest blogger with my first guest blog! I’m going to keep it short because I want you to visit and read up yourself. But here are a few of my favorite posts on her blog:

An African Shea butter case study story
“Shea nut that grows naturally or from organic agriculture tends to be environmentally friendly and is in high demand. People have become health conscious and they demand organically healthier products without chemicals. This gives women farmers better prices for their produce as well as a wider market,” she said.”
I love any part about supporting women. I have been dealing with African Shea butter for years and one goal I have is to be able to blog or write about a visit to our importers.
Read more on this Shea Butter case study that gives a unique insight into this wonderful product and the women who make them. I’m just sharing one link, but please feel free to google African Shea butter case study to read more..

Purchase our Grade A Shea Butter & African Black soap or try one of our wonderful handmade products infused with either. I especially love the foaming face wash (made with black soap) and the green tea scrub (with Shea). We take pride in our goodies and promote a natural chic lifestyle! Visit www.ujamaaessentials.com
I had to take a picture of this soap at the local beauty supply store. I went to get metal combs to start taking my locs out. Whenever I go in the stores, I always check to see what kind of Shea butter and black soap they have. This is the only black soap he had and it was $1.99. First, these are not the ingredients for black soap. Did you read them? Could you pronounce them? What IS that first ingredient??
Second, the problem is that consumers get this cheap stuff and when they happen to try the REAL black soap (palm oil, cocoa pod & plantain ash, shea butter, purified water - 5 ingredients!), consumers get upset.
Let’s increase awareness..do your research. This product has fragrance in it and may very well be great for some. But for those of us wanting simplified ingredients, read your labels!
